Kellie Martin is she is an American actress and film director most well-known for her role as Christy Huddleston in the period drama 'Christy", Rebecca Thatcher on the drama about families Life Goes On> and Lucy Knight for the medical drama ER. Also, she is known for being the main character in the "Hailey Dean Mystery" series. Martin, the daughter of a department store buyer and kindergarten teacher, started her career acting at the age of seven when her aunt who worked as the nanny of Michael Landon's children assisted Martin land a role in 1983's show "Father Murphy". When she graduated of Yale University she began to become serious about acting with roles that she was able to land on the small and large screen. Apart from being an actor, Martin is an accomplished photographer, as well as a ballet dancer. As a mother to two kids, she has become the National spokesperson for Lupus. She has actively promoted the disease since her sister's death from the illness at age 19.
