Patina Patina PatinaMiller played the role of Lead Player in the Broadway revival of Stephen Schwartz's famed 1972 musical "Pippin". The show was directed by Tony Award-winning director Diane Paulus, and also starring Matthew James Thomas, Andrea Martin and Terrence Mann, "Pippin" received the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical at the 67th Annual Tony Awards. Patina played the character Ben Vereen into a Tony Award-winning actor. She was also adept at executing the movement of Fosse that is so essential to the musical. Patina received nominations for a Tony Award, an Outer Critics Circle Award and a Broadway.com Audience Choice Award. Additionally, she won a Drama League Award as Best actress for an Leading Role and also an Outer Critics Circle Award as Outstanding Actress for a musical. The role she played before was Lead actor on stage at American Repertory Theater in "Pippin" which ran from the month of December 2012 until January 2013. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
